Back To School! YES!

Today we bought school supplies.  New shoes.  A school uniform. Socks that don’t have holes in them.

My son was indifferent, but I threw myself at the supplies of fresh notebook paper.  “Oh, yes!”  Pens.  Pencils.  Highlighters and binders.  I could have thrown the reams and reams of lined paper on the floor and rolled around in them.  They are my life’s blood.  The smell drives me wild.

I’ll miss my son when he goes to school, but at the same time, I’m hungry for the chance to create.  My daughter still takes naps.  So while he’s gone, and she’s napping…worlds and characters will be created.  I’m so happy I could cry.

  1. Did the school shopping two days ago myself–I have two teen daughters–Twilight fanatics, yes. I’m happy too. Already making my new schedule for next week’s writing times when school starts! Can’t wait! Better focus awaits.

    Happy creating, Jenn

  2. My wife had our son out on the same mission today while I worked. The pens, highlighters and bundles of paper only serve to remind me of the work backed up in my home office. Wish I could have your more positive, creative outlook.
