What? You Don’t Do This?

You don’t write with a hamster down your shirt and a box turtle curled up on your feet?

Hamster

Then you are a better person than I.

Box Turtle

Rush, the turtle, also has a thing for Pierce Brosna’s voice. She’ll always come out of her log if Pierce is on TV. So right now we’re watching Stephen King’s Bag of Bones for her. You’re welcome, Rush.

  1. I just love hamsters and turtles. My last hamster Ed was too busy to just sit in my shirt but oh how he loved to play and run in his ball. He was the best hamster I ever had the privilege of knowing.

As for box turtles I haven’t had an inside one in forever and all of my outside ones seem to have moved away. The last one lived in my yard for about 10 years and used to eat with the cats all of the time. He was a great guy(or at least we called him a guy.)

As for watching the Stephen King movie “just” for the turtle. I am not sure I buy that one. Oh, nice pedicure by the way. πŸ™‚

  2. I can’t say that I have. I’m not discounting the creative jump-start this may give a person, however. Alas, I am hamster-less and turtle-less. I have no animals to shove underneath my clothes. Now I am sad. My skin craves the feeling of tiny claws scratching away at it.

Now I must buy a critter. Strictly for writing purposes, of course. πŸ˜‰

  3. Ardee-ann, that makes me smile! My hamsters HATE the hamster ball. I think it’s insane. And Moonlight (this is a picture of her sister, Starlight) has just started chattering. it’s so funny. She’s the cranky one.

Ha, Chaotic! No, there’s at least two of us! πŸ˜€ Good to know!

Paul, might I suggest an angry raccoon or perhaps a badger? Actually, my roommates in college used to have rats. They loved sitting on our shoulders.
