December Reads!

I told you about my super special awesome bookclub on Facebook (The Book Democracy Book Club) where we are given a bingo card and random reading prompts. You read the book and a mod gives it a look over before checking off your box. It gives me something to look forward to every month, and helps me prioritize my massive TBR (To Be Read) pile.

One book gets to pull double duty and count for its prompt AND the free space.

December’s Reads were:

Behind the Bell by Dustin Diamond (Free Space)

The Disappearance at Devil’s Rock by Paul Tremblay (Blue Cover AND Tree on Cover)

The Hand on the Wall by Maureen Johnson (Involves a puzzle or a game)

Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix (Audiobook)

Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel (Released in 2020)

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber (Book that sparks joy)

The Last Unicorn graphic novel by Peter S. Beagle (graphic novel)

Six-Gun Snow White by Catherynne M. Valente (Cold word in title)

It was a good reading month! I loved The Last Unicorn and its gorgeous art, Darling Rose Gold, and Horrorstor, but my favorite read of the month was Six-Gun Snow White. It’s a short, beautifully written book. I’m not a huge reader of Westerns so I was delighted that I fell in love with it.

What was your favorite or least favorite read of the month?
