I’m delighted to share the cover for the Shadow Atlas anthology edited by Carina Bissett, Hillary Dodge, and Josh Viola. It includes my story “Sand and Salt,” and I’m very proud of it. It’s the story of a bean sí torn from the cliffs of Ireland and forced to dwell in the San Rafael desert.
Moira was silent. Her eyes filled with sea. They were the color of froth and foam and stinking dead things that floated in the waves. She turned her face toward home, miles and miles from here.
Shadow Atlas will be out this October! I can’t wait!
It’s a fabulous cover. Oh, poor Moira! I love how you used things in the sea to color her eyes.
Thank you! It’s a really beautiful cover and I’m so excited for this anthology!
