How’s this for support?
Me: Hey, Husband o’ Mine! How do you feel about hitting a book signing at Dark Delicacies in CA?
Him: We need a vacation! How about we take the kids and go to the zoo?
Me: Okay! Yay, crocodiles!
So we loaded the kidlets up, which is no small task now that there are three. And we hit the super special awesome San Diego Zoo.
We saw this:

It was a great day. We walked around for hours just enjoying ourselves while I mentally worked out the plot for the new novel I’m starting in January. My favorite part of the zoo? Stainless steel bottles you can buy. Show the vendor your receipt and you get free refills for the day. I can now tell you every place that sells a Coke in the entire San Diego Zoo. And that knowledge, my friends, is priceless.

ha, cool.
Glad you all had a great time at the zoo. That is awesome. Looks like you are had fun. I am so happy you got to celebrate being together as a family. That rocks.
Cordially,

We had a good time, J! The kids went “wild” over it. HAHAHAHAHAaaaaa… Sorry.
Ardee-ann, we’ve been running around like crazy lately and have been like ships passing in the night. It really was great to spend time together. Thanks! 😀
Oh, memories of the San Diego Zoo with my daughter, now all grown up (kind of). 😉 These photos are delightful. And from what I’ve been reading via your FB page, you are indeed on a roller coaster — book signings one day, near-emergencies the next day. All the more reason to relish any quiet time at all. btw, I love the spirit of your Amazon page bio. I could learn a thing or two from you.
Giraffes and Hippos are awesome. Zoo memories will last a lifetime.
