Say What Is Truth with Joni Haws! Honesty, Vulnerability, and Trigger Warnings

My friend Joni Haws is an absolutely amazing person. She is one of my very favorite people in the entire world. Joni just started the Say What is Truth podcast, where she sits and has conversations with (extra)ordinary, everyday people to discuss what goes on in their lives.  She’s wise, insightful, and these conversations hit hard.

Exploring life’s defining moments, Joni has conversations with interesting, everyday people in a deep dive about their trials, failures, transitions, and successes.

Joni and I threw ourselves an impromptu slumber party and recorded Season 1, Episode 6. It might be fun to listen to. It might not. We talk frankly about depression, infant death, and suicide ideation. It’s the most honest and vulnerable that I have ever been concerning my battles with mental health, and this is your trigger warning. But we laugh. I cry. And Joni and I share our deep love for each other through it all. I hope you come out the other side feeling like you were understood, and that it uplifts you.

Frankly? I’m a bit nervous to expose myself so rawly, but I try to do things that scare me.

Please subscribe and leave a review for Joni’s podcast if you’re so moved. I think it’s a lovely thing and I’m honored to be part of it.

If you are contemplating suicide, please call the Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
