The September PLDG: Graphic Novel Update!

My friends!
This month I taught a class at UNLV about adapting a longer work into a graphic novel. It went well and the class rejuvenated me. So many aspiring writers and artists! I printed out samples of the Pretty Little Dead Girls: A Graphic Novel of Murder and Whimsy script as well as the accompanying art and showed the students how they went together. Script writing is like learning a different language to speak to your artist. I’m so very fortunate that my artist understands exactly what I’m trying to say.
Speaking of the devil, Orion has been slinging art into my inbox like WHOA. He’s so very nearly finished, and we can’t wait to show you! Here’s a panel that he recently completed.

This is the scene at the very end of Volume I where Eddie gives the Star Girl her signature bracelet. I’m in love with Orion’s use of light in this panel! I can’t stop looking at it, and the stars themselves are so very intricate. Thank you, Orion! We appreciate all you do.
Please, if you haven’t already, update your mailing address at orionzangara@gmail.com so we can ship out your physical copies when they are ready. Thank you so much, our dear friends! We’re very nearly complete with our journey! Thank you for joining is.
