Celebrate Easter with Handel’s Messiah, presented by The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square streamed on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. (mountain daylight time). Once upon a time when I was in college, I was part of the Chamber Choir. We performed Handel’s Messiah and it was such a joy! The music, the practice, the technicality, the orchestra, … Read More

A Serial Killer’s Daughter: My Story of Faith, Love, and Overcoming by Kerri Rawson Gentle, meandering, faithful, and dull. Adds insight to Rader’s family. 3/5
It’s Official!
The official certificate arrived for Arterial Bloom, naming it a Bram Stoker Award Finalist! Woo hoo! I couldn’t be more proud of the authors and their stories. This was my maiden voyage as sole editor and the authors (and Todd Keisling, who did the cover and interior) made it as easy on me as possible. They were pleasures to work … Read More
So, I’ve Been Sick. What Really Happened. *Trigger Warning*
Wednesdays are usually where I write about TMS therapy (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and how wonderfully I’ve reacted to it. (You can read about it here.) It has changed my life. Then I had a horrific snafu with my doctor and pharmacy. Long, long, LONG story short, I’ve been trying to get my prescriptions refilled since January. We have a new … Read More

I’m delighted to announce that I sold my poem “It Hurts When I Breathe” to the Under Her Skin: A Woman in Horror Poetry Showcase by Black Spot Books! They would click loudly (wear earplugs!) for four seconds, be silent for 11 seconds, and then click for another four seconds. Rinse and repeat for about 20 minutes. Even though nothing was touching my skull, … Read More

Arterial Bloom is an Official Bram Stoker Nominee!
Oh, my friends. I can’t tell you how wonderful this is. You know that awards are subjective and you’re proud of what you and your team have accomplished regardless, but there is this SWOOSH of excitement that comes when you realize your peers are validating your hard work. It feels like a cross between giddiness and awed disbelief. I can’t … Read More
